You will have:

This is a rather interesting story. I went to the specialty shop Over the Top Cakes in St. Albert with a Carcassonne meeple in hand so I could ask them to make a cake in the shape of a meeple. She looked at it standing there on the counter and shook her head. There was no way she could make it to stand up like that.

So, I pushed over and I said, “No problem; it’s a farmer*.” 😉 – John Engel

* Carcassonne is a tile-placement game in which the players draw and place a tile with a piece of southern French landscape on it. After playing a tile, a player can then decide to place one of his meeples on one of the areas on it: on the city as a knight, on the road as a robber, on a cloister as a monk, or laying on its side on the grass as a farmer.

Play Rob Bartel’s yacht racing game Famous Flagships on Sunday September 7 between 12 P.M. and 4 P.M. and will win your own copy!

Rob Bartel is a local game designer, game publisher, and long-standing member of the Game Artisans of Canada. In 2010, Bartel launched Famous Games Co., selling his World’s Smallest Sports Games to businesses as branded promotional items. Due to popular demand, he updated the product line in 2013 to serve gamers directly.

Famous Flagships

Famous Flagships is a fun, fast-playing yacht racing game the captures the excitement of historic yachting regattas like the America’s Cup. The game pits a challenger and defender against each other amidst shifting winds and ever-changing fortunes. Both yachts fill their sails, displacing wind to either side and gaining speed as they steer the course. The result is a tight, tactical card game, with victory going to the first yacht to reach 50 knots.
